USMC F-35B Lightning II

The United States Marine Corps F-35B demonstration team takes pleasure in attending Friendship Day 2026. The team, based out of Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, California, selected Iwakuni as their only performance location outside of the United States in 2026. The F-35B, a 5th generation short-takeoff, vertical landing (STOVL) stealth fighter, has been based at Iwakuni since 2017 operating as part of the first forward-deployed permanent F-35B squadron under Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing.

米海兵隊のF-35Bデモチームが、フレンドシップデー２０２６に登場します。カリフォルニア州にある海兵隊ミラマー航空基地に拠点を置くデモチームは、２０２６年に計画する数々の航空ショーのうち、アメリカ国外では唯一の場所に岩国を選びました。短距離離陸・垂直着陸（STOVL）能力を持つ第五世代のステルス戦闘機F-35Bは、２０１７年にアメリカ国外に初めて常駐で前方展開するF-35B部隊として日本の岩国基地に配備され、第１海兵航空団第１２海兵飛行大隊が運用しています。
